Mandisa Nomcebo 

Major Mandisa Nomcebo Mfeka made headlines when she was named the world’s first African female fighter pilot. Mfeka said although she had dreamed of becoming a combat pilot, she never thought it was possible. Then she came across a recruitment advertisement by the South African Air Force (SAAF) at 16 years old, while she was reading about careers in maths and science. 

Meme Mpuru

Meme Mpuru is a 30 something year old mother of 5 beautiful boys, a writer, a healer and facilitator of children’s reading and holistic healing programmes. Her passion for community directed her towards co creating The Bookclub Society with her partner and father of her children of 24 years. The Bookclub Society is an organisation that teaches children how to read and write their own stories, Meme also does storytelling as a healing thing for the kids where real and deep issues are discussed and the kids get to both learn and share their experiences and that in turn directs how they can receive help. The holistic side of the Bookclub Society is where we do yoga and capoiera and introduce the kids to healthy eating. The children who are from the township also get to go on mentorship hikes which also helps expand their minds and experience nature. “The organisation is growing as it aligns itself with other organisations and thus our scope has grown broader. “

Lindiwe Sidali

Dr Lindiwe Sidali made history when she became the first African female cardiothoracic surgeon in the country. Sidali has been a doctor for ten years and just broke barriers by becoming South Africa’s first African female cardiothoracic surgeon

Lebohang Masango

Lebohang Masango is a writer and poet and a Master’s candidate and lecturer in anthropology. Masango has a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. She is the author of children’s book, Mpumi’s Magic Beads (David Philip Publishers, 2018), which is available in 9 of South Africa’s official languages, and The Great Cake Contest (Book Dash, 2018).

Letshego Zulu

Letshego Zulu is a Biokineticist by profession, the Co-Founder of the Health & Fitness movement PopUpGym, A Motivational Speaker and an MC. Her greatest passion is all things health, fitness and wellness related.Pop Up Gym is a health & fitness movement that promotes a healthy & active lifestyle. It showcases that fitness is fun & can be done in various ways.

Mahlodi Legodi

Mahlodi Legodi is an Independent PR, Marketing and Communications Consultant with 5 years experience in Public Relations. She who owns her own PR company called FR Communication. She has managed and improved the media relations and reputation for prominent African and international brands. Notable among these are Carlson Rezidor (Radisson Blu Hotel group), LG Electronics, Bosch power tools, Ask Afrika and Subinite. With this extensive clientele base spanning corporate, consumer and retail sectors, Mahlodi has overseen and executed successful internal and external campaigns, exhibitions, product and service launches, media roundtables, internal and external communication strategies.

Faith Nonyane

24-year-old Faith Mathapelo from the North West, was crowned Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2018 She was born and bred in Madiba Park in the limpopo province. She obtained her Diploma in business management and plans to further her studies in 2019. Faith is passionate about Gender based voilence, and is quite outspoken about it, she has also been a part of the numerious charity fundraisers and youth empowerment programs. She prides herself in being able to help raise funds to take more than 50 students to school.

Noxolo Mthethwa

Noxolo Mthethwa is the founder of Provoker Holdings, a publishing, distribution, content development, media planning and buying company that she founded, which has more than 300 employees. She is also the founder of Defining Moments Holdings, a call centre group that leverages the use of Artificial Intelligence to deliver services to clients while solving some of the most complex challenges. Her passion for youth development has led Mthethwa to also launch The Provoker Newspaper which she uses to keep youth informed, stimulated, provoked and propelled for growth.

Bongiwe Beja

Bongiwe Beja is the General Manager at Silulo Ulutho Technologies (Silulo), a fast growing technology and education social enterprise which has significant impact in the emerging, township and rural communities across South Africa. Bongiwe is part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers in the Cape Town Hub. She is an African ambassador in the financial and technology space and is wanting to develop the continent by playing a significant role in unlocking value and growth through entrepreneurship and social impact.

Thokozani Dyosini

Thokozani Dyosini is a 27-year-old qualified educator with a PHD student and part time lecture at Wits University. Her goal is to be more than just a teacher. and she’s in the lectureship field. Her campaign # SeeYouAtGraduation aims to motivate students to work hard and obtain their degrees.
