Thuli Phongolo Says Goodbye to ‘Generations’ After Last Day On Set

That’s a wrap for Thuli Phongolo! The 24-year-old actress is the latest cast member to say goodbye to popular SABC 1 soapie Generations: The Legacy, filming her final scenes for the soapie recently. Phongolo, who has been on the soapie for four years now, couldn’t help but get emotional bidding farewell to her co-stars — and on-screen family in particular.

“This moment with Gogo got me after shooting my last scene… it’s been nothing but magical working with such genuine and loving people! Namhla surprised me! I didn’t think she’d turn out the way she did. Every year she provided me with more depth and growth that taught me a lesson!”

Thuli, has spent a great deal of time with the cast and crew of the series, which she has been part of since it aired in 2011

“After 4 years of being on @generations_the_legacy …today I’m taking a bow! Thank you for allowing me to live my dream! Its been challenging and incredibly amazing at the same time. Thank you so much to everyone for the love and support! If we talk about ‘A Time To Be Alive’ this was it! Bekumnandi!”
