In 2017, it was reported that makeup artist, Bongi Mlotshwa, who is Mbali Mlotshwa’s mother, had left after having a fall out with Thuli Phongolo based on the way that she did her makeup. Thuli did however slam the claims in a recent interview on Metro FM.

Remember the time when she was called a drama queen in 2015? It’s not that she ignored what happened: She simply put a permanent ‘no comment’ status on it.
