Sometimes I feel unattractive as a black female in society. Is this understable?

I’m a college student and I’m going to a predominantly white university and I’m those people who want a lot of attention, especially by males and on social media. However it’s usually the light skinned or white girls who get the most likes on Instagram and more male attention. I don’t know if this is rare or strange but I’m not gonna lie.

I am pretty boy crazy and I do want guys to like me but I always feel ugly and undesirable especially to males because of my Afrocentric features and black skin. I want to take pics of myself and be a figure and feel attractive and confident without putting on loads of makeup or fake hair. I just feel like it’s impossible
