SA Female Celebrity Dropouts Who Are Insanely Successful

Who said you can never make it in life if you are not a graduate? Clearly that is’nt the case with these following South African female celebs, they havr proved to be successful and have great careers without a college degree or diploma under their belt.

Be inspired by these powerful and successful ladies below who continue to make an impact in their respective field.

Moral of the story is: there’s still hope and education is not the only way out of poverty.

Bonang Matheba

After failing a few modules more than once, Bonang Matheba left the University of Johannesburg – without the marketing degree she’d signed up for. Not that she’s needed that or any other degree… Bonang has made an amazing success of her life and is a role model for thousands of young South African girls – more power to her!

Minnie Dlamini

Minnie left her UCT studies to pursue her TV presenting career. Minnie Dlamini has worked on the SABC 1 shows “Live,” ‘’Supersport’’ and “Mzansi Insider.” Dlamini was studying at the University of Cape Town when she decided to try her luck in the search for the next “Live” presenter. Dlamini landed the role and had to quit school when she moved to Johannesburg to pursue her TV work.

Charliez Theron

The academy Award-winning actor only completed primary school before receiving a one-year modelling contract at the age of 16 through a local competition. This event launched a modelling tour of Europe and the U.S. When Theron was 19, she moved to Los Angeles and started acting.

Charlie didn’t finish High School.

Boity Thulo

Known for her excellent presenting skills on ETV’s music show, “Club 808,” and for her role as ‘’Mpho Bogatsu’’ on Mzansi Magic’s Rockville, Thulo had to drop out of university after her second year because her parents could not afford to pay for her third year.
