Makhadzi Calls Out The SAMAs Following ‘Discrimination’ Incident.
Favourite performer and musician Makhadzi has accused The Samas 28 of discrimination.
Taking to twitter after her SAMA performance, 26-year-old Makhadzi opened up about how she was treated at the SAMAs rehearsals and detailed how she was discriminated. It is a known truth that Makhadzi is presently regarded as the nation’s top performer but her experience at SAMA’s took a different turn.
Although there were a few technical issues during the MaGear singer’s performance at Samas 28, the artist persisted. However, Makhadzi was dissatisfied with the way the award presentation handled its sound issues and the calibre of the live production.
Makhadzi claimed that although many don’t believe she fully comprehends English, she is aware of what rehearsals signify.
“But to me, a rehearsal was to make me feel like I don’t deserve to be in the industry. And I don’t deserve the love I get from my fans. I remain the queen and I am proud of myself and my work,” she tweeted.
“‘The problem started when I decline their choreography, [cause] I always want to perform with my own dancers. But the most important thing is how can you let me rehearse 5 minutes where others [were] given unlimited time. Rehearsing with a cellphone in front of the band.”- She further explained.
The frustrated Makhadzi later deleted her posts on twitter.
