Who is BLxxckSavage?
My real name is Siphiwe Jr Sibusiso Hlatshwayo from Soweto Jabulani Flats I was born in 2000, May 17.
What motivated you to get into music?
While growing up I had passion for soccer and music but mostly I was playing soccer until when I was doing my grade 11 that’s where I started following music(production) and I started recruiting musicians to feel my beats .My first hit track was with Sai and it did well and pearls started recognising me and other artists and producers started following me on social Media and also two of the biggest producers in the game (Tweezy and Ruff) started following me on social media I’ve produced lots of tracks with a lot of artists.
What are some of the challenges you come across?
At this moment I’m not under any record label, pushing and hustling alone in the industry as an independent artist or producer isn’t easy but still I’m getting there bit by bit through the features I get and I give out. I believe that one day I’m going to make it .
What is your favorite type of music to listen to?
Hip-Hop and R&B
What song do you rock out to on a daily?
Cassper Nyovest “Egyptian Cotton”.
What is one of the craziest things that you have ever done in your life?
Lying to mom saying that I’m going to sleep over at my friends place but I didn’t go there I went to a house party back then I was like 15-16.
If you won a Million Rand today, what would you spend it on?
Buying studio equipment because I know it’s an investment and it’s something that I’m passion about.
What world problem would you love to fix? And how do you think it can be fixed?
Gender based Violent, it can be fixed by teaching young boys to not raise their hands on a lady since that won’t define you as a man.
What Accomplishment are you mostly proud of?
Well, I have great news for my fans I’ve been nominated for Producer Of The Year at the 011 Awards. This nomination does not only mean a lot to me but to also the young ones that are coming after to see that working hard and believing in yourself is the key to success and I just found out that I’ve made it to the Top 10 for most voted Producer this week.
I would like to thank all the people that have voted so far, their love and support really means a lot to me and I would like also to thank my family and friends and also the special lady in my life. ♥️🥺
If it hasn’t been for these people I believe I wouldn’t be here today and also my father who isn’t here with us today but I know wherever he is, his looking after me.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently working on an EP with Sai and King Flow so defining my future I would say the future is still bright and I am starting my first year at Boston Media House this year for music production and composition. I’m looking forward to work with all South African artists until then I am still one of the finest upcoming music producers in Soweto.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
By God’s grace I would like to see myself doing good in life and living my dream.
