Plus-Sized Prejudice For Thickleeyonce

Fashion Designers Descriminating Against Plus Size Models

Revolutionary photographer, blogger and plus-size model Thickleeyonce took to Twitter yesterday and vented her frustrations over the discrimination she’s constantly faced with in the modelling agency, due to her unique physique.

The bodacious beautyqueen expressed herself in no uncertain terms that the designers she normally encounters at fashion shows and shoots, often neglect to prepare their tools and materials for her in favour of doing so for more petite and conventionally sized models instead.

Thickleeyonce tweeted the following on her social media account:

Discrimination is an institution that has existed seemingly from the dawn of time in society, and has manifested in different forms across different aspects of life and business.  Racism being the most popular form, has been seen rearing its ugly head in business, sports and even the entertainment industry, just to name a few.  Body shaming is one of those forms that was more popular in schoolyards in the past, but has now seemingly managed to sink its claws into more mainstream platforms as well, especially after the advent of cyber-bullying and cancel-culture.

Individuals like Thickleeyonce continue to shine the light of inspiration for all of us and remind us that despite your disposition in life, physical or otherwise, no one can tell you who to be or how far your potential can take you.  We continue to applaud her success and her resilience in continuing to live life according to her own terms despite adversity.
