Pearl Thusi is the latest South African celebrity to take a break from social media.

The actress, model, television host, and radio personality shocked her fans yesterday when she deactivated all her social media accounts.

It is unknown why the Queen Sono star deleted all her accounts but her bestie DJ Zinhle took to social media to send a public dedication to Pearl Thusi, after she deactivated her social media.

On Tuesday, 31 March 2020, DJ Zinhle sent an appreciation post to Pearl Thusi. DJ Zinhle dedicated her 2019 hit single, Umlilo, to Pearl, assuring her that all would be well.

Some other fans also took to Twitter to express their concern.

While we don’t know if her departure from the platform is a temporary one , or if she’s gone for good- we hope to hear from Pearl Thusi soon.
