Brenda Mtambo Is Set To Serenade Music Lovers On Valentines Day

Afro-soul and jazz music sensation Brenda Mtambo is ready and excited for her show on the 14th of February, at Gratitude restaurant in Edenvale Johannesburg.

The deep-toned songbird has recently made headlines after opposing a statement Bishop Mosa Sono made at a Sunday service recently.

The Busezweni singer disagreed with the utterances that musicians should render their upscale singing skills for free at church, and that the Bishop’s sentiments were the reason she didn’t sing at church.

“If we gonna start paying Instrumentalists it’s not sustainable Comrades… Not only that, in our church we serve through volunteerism, that’s the DNA of Grace Bible Church – volunteers. Now, to me, there’s no difference between a musician and a parking attendant… There’s no difference, they are all volunteers,” said Bishop Mosa Sono.

Taken by this, Mtambo wasted no time to express her disagreements. “I die I die but the truth is professional musicians must be paid at church,” she brazenly stood.

The former joyous celebration alto has since allegedly received threatening messages from Bishop Sono’s followers and, in now-deleted Instagram posts, shared screenshots of some of them.

Brenda’s fans would be much delighted to know that the singer is safe and sound, fully booked and ready to what she’s loved and celebrated for.
