Move Over, Arthur. Owami Mafokate Is Taking Over!
It looks like Owami Mafokate is adding another profession to her already stacked accomplishments — she is ready to take the fashion industry by storm with her branded t-shirts and caps.
The daughter of legendary muso and producer Arthur Mafokate launched her clothing range over the weekend as part of Youth Month.
Her collection labelled Owami, follows her succesful first attempt, Hermosa, which was a hit with local celebs.
” The clothing label is for the youth who is versatile and stylish. It’s been a long journey putting this range together and now it’s finally here. It’ll be in stores next month”- she said on her interview with Sunday Sun.
“I decided to launch my range during youth month and am excited, and scared at the same time, because my dad tells me how bad showbiz can be”- Owami added.
17-year-old Owami has achieved so much over the years, and she has shared a stage with popular artists such as Cassper Nyovest and she has been the resident Dj in SABC1’s youth programme YoTV.
