Johannesburg Stock Exchange Learnership Opportunity
Exciting Learnership opportunities are available at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Successful incumbents will be on a fixed-term Learnership Programme and will be exposed to day-to-day activities within the Enterprise Information Governance: Data Governance Office. During this contract, the incumbents will be placed on an NQF aligned Learnership Programme along with gaining on-the-job experience. Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates and South African Citizens.
Responsibilities / Outputs | Enterprise Information Governance: Data Governance Office: • Analysing data • Data mapping • Prepare flow charts and graphs for presentation • Data modelling • Compiling excel spreadsheets or using applications like VB • The development and enforcement of data standards, processes as defined by EIG Council • Updating of business process documentation (flow and transformation of data from source to target, etc.) |
Experience | Minimum Qualification Requirement: B Comm Degree in Informatics / Statistics / Computer Science or Maths. |
Skills | • Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. See through the data and be able to analyse it to find conclusions. • Communication Skills: able to translate the data into an understandable document. • Be able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating / articulating complex ideas • Critical Thinking: be able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings. • Attention to Detail: make sure that their analysis leads to correct conclusions. • Math Skills: mathematical skills to estimate numerical data • Good communication skills • Team player • Sense of urgency |
