How To Get Bonang’s Look In 5 Easy Steps

Bonang Matheba is a force to be reckoned with and a source of beauty inspiration for many South African women. The 30-year-old is Revlon’s first local face and is a perfect match for the brand with her uber-glamorous look. These are some make-up tips we’ve picked up from her:

If you’ve ever wanted to know the secret to Queen B’s flawless face and always-progressive makeup, you’re in for a treat.

Before we give you tips on how to achieve Bonang’s look, let’s first we look at her make-up lessons:

Lesson 1: Pairing a bold lip with a bold eye carries a high risk factor, but Bonang pulls it off by using neutral shades to create her smoky eye.

Lesson 2: Apply lip gloss to add shine to your day look.

Lesson 3: For an instantly glamorous look, use false lashes. They will open up your eyes and add definition.

Follow these 5 steps to get Bonang’s A-List look.

1. Starting with a clean face, apply Revlon PhotoReady Prime + Anti Shine Balm around your forehead and nose (anywhere where you get a bit of shine) to reduce oil buildup.

2. Using a brush, apply dots of Revlon ColorStay Makeup to chin, forehead and cheeks, and blend into skin. Then sweep on Revlon Blush in Sultry Sienna to cheekbones for colour.

3. Using Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Quad in Decadent, dust the highlighter all over eyes and up to brow bone to create a base. Sweep the lid shade over eyes from lashline to crease and use the accent shade on the outer corners of eyes to create drama.

4. Next, apply Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks in Charcoal to the outer corners of eyes and extend the shade into your crease, creating a ‘point’ under the tip of each eyebrow. Oh, hello drama!

5. Line lids from the inner corners with a heavy line of Revlon ColorStay Skinny Liquid Liner in Black, then plump up lashes by generously coating them in Revlon GrowLuscious Bold Lacquer Mascara in Black. Finish off the look with Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Azalea for serious wow-factor.
