5 SA Female Celebs Who Have Been Hit By The Pregnancy Rumour Mill!

It seems like just about everyday there is a new report in the tabloids about a celebrity pregnancy that turns out to be false. Celebrities often find themselves bombarded with rumors that they are expecting. Often times, the speculation comes out of nowhere and the celebrity is left to defend themselves or have their reps dispel the rumors.

Check out these five South African female celebrities who were rumoured to be pregnant:

Mshoza

Ever since Mshoza tied the knot late last year, many have been anticipating her baby bump snaps, but lately, her name has been caught up in rumours that deem the musician to be pregnant.

The Kwaito star was quick to deny the rumors, saying that because she was focused on her career and upcoming tour, she and her husband have no plans of having children anytime soon

“No (it’s not true). I have no idea where the rumours even came from because I have no plans to have a baby any time soon. I am planning on going on tour, so I can’t be pregnant and be on tour.” she said, speaking TshisaLIVE .

Minnie Dlamini

The newly wed star’s marriage glow had social media thinking she’s expecting a little one. After posting a photo with a bad angle, one fan tweeted Mrs Jones complimenting her on her “cute baby bump”.

In response, Minnie put an end to the pregnancy speculations tweeting, “Nah I’m just fat,” along with a laughing emoji.

Lerato Kganyago

After going to her regular pap smear check up and posting the process on social media, Lerato’s followers got a bit too excited and jumped to the conclusion that the Metro FM DJ was pregnant.

Lerato had initially shared a video of her ultrasound scan to her Twitter followers. In the video Lerato shows a scan of her uterus, the video which she has since deleted, was followed by a lot of congratulations messages from her followers.

Lerato had to quickly correct her followers by mentioning that her uterus was empty and that she had just gone for her pap smear appointment.

Boity

In 2016, Boity shared a photo on Instagram, with the caption: “Beautiful journey ahead, thank you Father God for trusting me with this tremendous gift.”

Comments on the photo subsequently triggered speculation that she was pregnant with ex-boyfriend Cassper Nyovest’s child.

The rumours spread so fast that Channel 24 called Boity up to ask if she has a bun in the oven, and she responded by saying that she most definitely does not

“I’m not pregnant,” she told the website.

Simphiwe Ngema

Reports on social media and fake news sites surfaced in August last year claiming that Simphiwe Ngema was pregnant. The reports included a video showing an ultrasound scan of the baby.

However, the family of late Rhythm City actor Dumi Masilela lambasted false reports claiming that the star’s widow is pregnant with Dumi’s child.
