10 Things You Should Know About Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi

On August 9th, 2019 was crowned Miss South Africa 2019 taking over the reign from Tamaryn Green. The 25-year-old Zozibini beat 15 other dazzling young women from across the country to scoop the prestigious crown. She will now represent South Africa at the Miss Universe 2019 competition.

Check out the following 10 things you should know about Zozibini…

1.Zozibini currently resides in Gardens, but her home is Tsolo, eSdwadweni in the Eastern Cape. 

2. Zozibini holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Image Management which she attained from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2018.

3. Prior to winning Miss South Africa, Tunzi was completing a Bachelor of Technologygraduate degree in public relations management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology,

4. She worked as a graduate intern in the public relations department of Ogilvy Cape Town

5. Tunzi began her pageantry career in 2017, when she was accepted as a Top 26 finalists of Miss South Africa 2017.

6. She did not become a Top 12 Finalist that year. She returned to pageantry to compete in the Miss South Africa 2019 competition.

7. Of the initial applications, Tunzi was selected to continue as one of the top 35 semifinalists after being confirmed as one on 26 June 2019.

8. After further auditions, Tunzi was announced as one of the sixteen finalists on 11 July.

9. Zozibini Tunzi lists her role models as her parents and Caster Semenya, whom she’d love to meet. 

10. Zozibini is a hard-core Marvel fan, was a Game of Thrones addict and enjoys eating out.
